patching jacket melt

Amigos Listeros de KiLeRos: The other day I melted my Nylon Kili jacket sleeve, absent-mindedly draping it over the bike with the sleeve touching the hot exhaust pipe. I managed to melt a nice hole in the nylon, which i am sure will let in plenty of water come winter. Does anybody have experience sewing or patching this material? Appreciate any tips.
