Good day folks, Got a few questions for the KLR crowd. Would like to get some input concerning dirt style helmets. Does anyone have a recommendation for today's current dirt style helmets? I own a wonderful Shoei X-9 Air Street helmet, but sometimes I would like to have a good dirt helmet available. One of my concerns though, is "pull up" due to road speed air flow pulling up on the visor creating excessive neck fatigue and the accompanying head ache. Are there any good dirt style helmets out there that handle this phenomenon? Are any particular ones better than the others? My next question concerns summer gloves. I have a really nice pair of late fall, winter, and early spring gloves, but they are a tad warm for the summer months. Any recommendations out of the hundreds of styles of MX gloves that are out there? I am looking for good fit, long wear life, high level protection for street and dirt, and decent ventilation. Is there such a glove? Unfortunately, the shops around here don't carry much of a supply, so it is hard to actually see them and try them on. What are the rest of you using for summer riding? My last question is concerning wheels/rims. I just saw the picture of the Super Sherpa and those wheels are a way cool color. Any chance that those rims are the same size as our KLR's? I figured that they probably weren't because the bike is smaller, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask. Your knowledge, experience, and advice is greatly appreciated.
