mid-ohio, lottsa questions nklr

Post by Ralph E. Hanson » Sat Jun 17, 2000 10:58 am

Collective, I'm in the process of getting ready for my first significant trip on the KLR: Going to the Superbike races at Mid-Ohio in July. First of all, is anyone else on the list planning on going? I'll volunteer to organize dinner on one of the nights (Friday or Saturday). Anyone who's interested, send me a note. Second, I have Original Tim Racks and Ortlieb dry bags. I'm thinking about semi-permanently mounting them with the straps under the seat. I know at least one person on the list has tried this. Any directions, hints, evaluations would be appreciated. Finally, has anyone tried using a 70-oz. Platypus drinking system in a Darien front pocket? I've been looking locally for a smaller one, but can't find it, so I thought I would give the larger one a shot. Thanks, Ralph Ralph Hanson 1999 KLR 650 rhanson@... http://www.wvu.edu/~journal2

Ian, Would you be of the Ian Smith of "bike comparison article fame?" who is also a Brit. Just curious! Either way welcome to the KLR cult! Ron A14 Ronald Wells
