For some reason NADA values have always been way off on dual sports, here is an example on an A12. I'd buy a '98 at $3,000 in a heartbeat...you won't find many at that price. IMO, the best guides were the AMA ones posted at www.mcnews.com but for some reason the tables they now have listed are a year old. The print version is current but you have to subsribe. Kurt Road/Trail Model: KL650A12 KLR 650 Piston Displacement (CCs): 651 Stroke: 4 Cylinders: 4 Speeds: 5 Dry Weight: 338 Low Retail: $2,310 Average Retail: $3,035 High Retail: $3,280 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Click below on the first character of the Manufacturer's Name. [ A | B | C | D | E | F | G | H | I | J | K | L | M | N | O | P | R | S | T | U | V | W | Y ] [ Motorcycle | Side Cars | Trailers | Snowmobile | Personal Watercraft ] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Low Retail Value - low retail unit may have extensive wear and tear. Body parts may have dents and blemishes. The buyer can expect to invest in cosmetic and/or mechanical work. This vehicle should be in safe running order. Low retail vehicles usually are not found on dealer lots. Average Retail Value - An average retail unit should be clean without obvious defects. All rubber and cables should be in good condition. The paint should match and have a good finish. All lights and switches should work properly. The mileage should be within or slightly higher than the average range. This unit should also pass any emission inspection. High Retail Value - A high retail unit should look like new. All equipment should function properly. The paint should match and have a high gloss. Tires should appear new and cables should be clean with minimal wear. Engine should start quickly and run smoothly. There should be no leaks and the mileage should be at or below an acceptable range for the model year.

Hey, Dash. Think if I send your Ma in law my bill, she'll pay for 1/2 my Mach One too. Hey, it WAS my idea.:) Guess I better remember that if you decide the jacket sucks, eh? Someone else on the list (Tumu?) is jacket shopping. I sent him the link. If he buys, I'm gonna write Teknic and ask for a commission. Cheers, D. GBG eh14
