Kurt, Sorry to bother you. When I took everything apart it was apparent how it worked. However does seem that Jake's keeper or holder is about .014 thicker and makes very a tight fit. Maybe too tight. And yes, it is a 1995 (Barbie model). Thanks George (Creaking Ken) Escondido, CA

Mine`s an A9 also. Mine went on ok, but you have to tap it to spin it into place a little. Jake designed them to be a little snug. After 3000+ miles on mine, it loosened up a little. It works great. You should have seen my stock one when I pulled it off, I`m surprised my sprocket wasn`t sliding. Skip
