I'm with you Wolfy. Forget about the hours that Arne stole from his family and work to set up this resource for our pleasure. I also don't want to hear from any of you crybabies about any of Arne's other contributions to our sport. This borg unity crap is overrated. In fact I plan to secede from this happy union myself. I'm sick to death of hearing from intelligent members over 5'4". You'll find our little group at FHQ_klr650 Only myopic, short clods allowed. Dawn - rorrim a ni erats og

don't be silly. i don't think anyone is proposing the klr adventure group as an alternative to this group, or as a replacement, but as an addition, for a few folks that might be interested in a more specific focus. i think it's a swell idea (tho i'm not particularly interested myself, just yet), and shouldn't make anyone on this group feel threatened. i would be very surprised if any of the subscribers to the klr adventure list left this list. actually, i think we could use a 3rd new list for focused discussions on oil, gun control, environmental issues, karaoke, and bestiality and computer viruses (oh no, i said it!). arne's doing a great job, and i appreciate his efforts and i'm sure everyone else does too. i also appreciate the efforts of everyone who makes an attempt to share experiences and answer questions on this list. that what makes it so valuable. -mark weaver -----Original Message----- From: DawnRides@... Does seem kindof small to use a list that was built over time & toil, as a springboard for one that can be seen as competition. Scott A14 "thunderdog" Sorrento

my ego gets in the way more times than I like to admit...but to the above I have to say bullshit...complement the KLR list? give me a break...Vik's adventure touring is all a person needs...for an adventure tourer no one needs a model specific list...for a KLR owner no one needs two places to check out the tricks and tips... nklr: pictures posting

Post by JSherlockHolmes@aol.com » Sat Jun 17, 2000 1:03 pm

I was wondering if the listers that have pictures could send them to the "Files" area of this e-groups page? It makes viewing the pictures much easier. I receive the list in digest mode, and I find it difficult in some cases to determine if pictures are present or not. I see the statement about attachments at the bottom, but I usually find it is some kind of ad or mention of the klrdsn website, archives, etc. Just a thought, seems like a good place to store all the cool pictures being generated by our enterprising riding buddies. Thanks, Jim Sherlock ps. in case I ever get my pictures scanned, does anyone know how to put pictures into the "files" area? I could use some instruction as I am only a low level 'puter user. Thx.
