nklr: supertrapp installation

Well, It's finally on. I took some advice from this list and went down to a
local muffler shop. There, I had them enlarge the "S-bend" pipe to fit the
inlet of the muffler canister. Then I went home, marked it up for alignment,
and began to assemble. I used a medium coat of Permatex Hi Temp Copper RTV on
the "S-bend" pipe, then slid the bad boy into the muffler inlet. Then I
spread a small bead of the RTV on the outside lip where the muffler and pipe
meet. Install position rivet and clamp down with the supplied pipe clamp. I
let the bad boy sit for two days to cure. Finished the installation last
night. Waited until today for the RTV I used on the head pipe to "S-bend"
pipe connection to cure. Started the bad boy up this afternoon and let her
run. Keeeewl!!! No exhaust leaks. None what so ever. As for noise, geeze, I
could pass gas louder than this pipe is. For the info gatherers out there I
am using 10 discs, third notch on the needle, 2 1/2 turns out on the slow
speed mixture screw, and the DJ140 for the main jet. The fuel circuit
enrichener (choke) actually works again. The hesitation normally prevalent
when you "blip" the throttle is gone. Can't afford a Dyno run right now, cuz
I'm purchasing a few more goodies for the bike, but will give a seat of the
pants accounting in the near future.
