bent aluminum bars

My latest crash really tweaked my already slightly bent bars. They are some type of aftermarket aluminum bars (no brand name visible). Can I bend them back? Any thoughts on how to do this? I don't need them to be perfect, but they are bent enough now that it is too awkward to ride. I was given a set of Oneal bars from a neighbor. The width looks good, but the rise is quite a bit less. Looks like only 2-3" of rise compared to about 4" on the bars that are on the bike now. If I mount these will I have trouble with levers and hardware on bars hitting the gas tank at full lock? Does anybody else run bars with this small of rise? Thanks for all the advice. I really need to stop crashing every weekend, it's starting to get expensive! Barry '91 KLR650
