From my research to date this looks to be the perfect choice for my purpose. The particular bike I am looking at has about 90 000km on the clock. I know 2 of the 3 most recent owners (small town...) and it seems to have been reasonably well looked after, if well used. (They both agree the bike is indestructable!) Could any listees recomend what I could/should be looking for when I check the bike over in a couple of days time? (see, I got to the point eventualy!) Thanks in advance Matt. Matt, Welcome aboard! I'm not sure if a bike with that kind of use is a good deal but only the price can determine that. Be sure to find out about the valve check (when it was last done and what the clearances were). Also, with a ride that well "broken in" it might not hurt to have a mechanic check it out if you're not familiar enough to do so yourself...then again some mechanics do more harm than good. Trust your instincts not your adrenaline. If it seems right then maybe it is. If it doesn't seem right then it almost cetainly isn't. As far as etiquette goes...well just be sure to put "nklr" in the subject line of anything not pertaining directly to the bike. Don't ask oil/tire/virus questions and use the archives...they're slow but they're full of useful info (kinda like some professors I've met). dat brooklyn bum _______________________________________________________ Get 100% FREE Internet Access powered by Excite Visit http://freelane.excite.com/freeisp
