bmw r1150 gs motorcycles conquer canyonlands: (nklr) an unathor

One of my friends has an 1150GS and another has a KTM Adventure. The GS rider has always maintained that with the proper tires they would be comparable. Last week they "explored" some back roads that were pretty tough. The GS dumped in the road 5 times and finally piched off the side down an 8ft. drop off. The KTM never was challenged. Was it the bikes or was it the riders? It was both. There are people who could ride a Ducatti on the White Rim trail. Pick any off road terain. Put the same rider on a GS and then on the Adventure (or the KLR) and I'm certain he/she will ride better and more comfortably on the smaller bike. M

#2 should read: "He who dies with the most toys WINS!(Still dies)" 3. It's only money; ya die and someone else gets it. Cheers, D. GBG eh14
