Greetings Collective,
I have a problem that the infinite wisdom may be able to help me with.
Installing an IDS2 pipe on my buds' KLR. The instructions say to remove
the stock gasket. Got it.
Well the S-bend is a tight slip fit on the header... OK so we don't use a
gasket there.
Next I set up to fit the silencer... The ID of the silencer is a good deal
larger than the OD of the top of the S-bend.
What gives? I tried using the clamp to cinch it up tight but that's not
going to happen.
Lots of IDS2's out there, any help?
I considered opening up the top end of the s-bend, with a tail pipe
expander, to match the silencer. I also considered opening up the silencer
end to accept that gasket that was such a pain to remove. Or do I spend
the extra $5 and get a exhaust wrap and make a gasket to fill the space?
I called SuperTrapp, but I just get "please leave a message" HELL.
Thanks
