Wow, my sunday mishap pales in comparison. I was on some favorite singletrack when a stump reached up and grabbed my foot for no apparent reason. It hurt. Like a son of a gun. I did my best to continue riding but I couldn't stand on the pegs or upshift without being in much pain. Lucky for me I was only 1 1/2 hours away from home. But the true pain didn't start until I took my boots off at home. WOWSERS! Long story short, nothing broken but it sure didn't feel that way. Healing nicely, I can walk with just a limp right now and my foot it just a bit swolen and bruised right now. I leave to Baja in just 2 weeks. On the ride back home on Sunday I was thinking of how to weld a piece of bar onto the stock shifter to act as a heal shifter for upshifting. Think it's time I go to a 'KLR anonymous' meeting? ;) Get well Verle! Karl PS - Don't go offroad without some sort of decent footwear. I don't want to think of what would happen if I was wearing just shoes. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
