I have had my tank bag for a year and 15,000 miles. I leave it on all the
time unless I am going trail riding. It has held up well with no problems
whatsoever. It doesn't look all that sturdy but obviously is more durable
than it looks.

I had problems kicking my E45 Givi tail bag initially. Now I treat it as a
round house kick and let my knee glide over the seat then extend my foot
over. I just have to make sure I kiai loud so my kids know when to duck.

Nothing big for trips but big enough for a leather jacket and some spare

The Kaw tail bag worked well for me. The pros are that you can
attach/remove it easily, it's expandable, holds a bunch. Mine holds a small
gym bag with rain gear & light leather jacket without expanding the bag.
Seems to be holding up well.
Cons are that anybody can take it off easily, it's not waterproof & not
for two up riding. I mount the bike from the footpeg to clear the bag.
I'm going to go with a Givi tail box as soon as the Happy Trails folks get
back from vacation. More secure, more water resistance & has a backrest kit
available.

Joe, I have the Kaw tank bag and leave it on all the time - I load it up and
bounce down dirt roads every day - no problems...
