[dsn_klr650] tires - no gp110's + slightly funny story (kinda n

good thing i bought mine on wednesday. if i'd known there was a shortage, i
woulda stocked up.
on another note, i was poking around in the shed, cleaning up, and taking a
look at my shiny new rear tire, when i noticed that i had installed it
backwards!!!! argh! i distinctly remember looking at the little direction
arrow and thinking about it and even rechecking it. i can only imagine i got
confused because the sprocket is on the left side, compared to right side
sprockets on virtually all bicycles.
now i realize it probably doesn't make *that* much of a difference which way
the tire is pointing, but i'm pretty certain that whatever difference it
does make is bad for me. so i whipped out my shiny new tire irons (used
once) and got some more practice. once i had the tire off, i carefully
thought about it, oriented it, and then..... put it on backwards again!!!!!
fortunately, i caught it this time before i put air in it. so finally i put
it on right, stopping several times to go hold it next to the bike to make
sure it was really right. what a neophyte!
now i really have confidence that i can fix a tire in the woods.
