I saw a big Smokey the Bear display this winter in the Chirachua
National Park in AZ inside their visitors center. Made a big deal about how
Smokey had been a bit to adamant about putting out forest fires and actually
caused harm to the environment of the forest. Went on to explain how they
now just watch a lot of the natural burns and make sure nobody gets hurt.
Kinda neat.

Whatever happened to Smokey? Used to be you couldn't go anywhwere in a NP or NF without seeing him. Now you just see signs for controlled burns. Clinton- Just say No to Smokey the Bear. Conall-known to blown off a few surplus military signal flares and smoke gernades. ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Missing old school friends?
