Not to worry. No offense taken. I agree, this is not a big deal (like oil) but for those interested in a little extra range, it could prove helpful. I originally did it because it bugged the crap out of me to know that extra bit of fuel was down there. Where I ride, I really push it on the range and an extra 30 miles of range can make a difference when I hit the trails, and has. Also, call me lazy, but I like not having to stop and lean a fully loaded KLR enough to get to that fuel. As far as the mod goes, this is not a tank modification. Nothing is done to modify the tank. Also, there are no NTSB rules against ANY motorcycle fuel tank modifications as long as I don`t pressurize the tank. I checked. I deal with the NTSB on aircraft issues every now and then, and asked our area rep in Seattle.
