They sure did! I think its great! You have your first reserve, the "hmm, I better get gas soon" reserve, and the "oh-crap, I have to get gas right away!" reserve. I can't believe you are actually bitching about it, considering the fact you have a six gallon tank. I have spent a lot of time riding bikes that only have a 2.5 - 3 gallon tanks, and know a good thing when I have it. If they had actually designed a tank that completely drained out the left hand side, then the center of mass of the tank would be even higher on the bike, making the bike even more top heavy. Stop worrying about the trivial and get out and ride people! Jeff

BTW, I'd like to apologize, especially to Skip for his efforts. I don't mean to say that modifying the tank to get that extra 1/2 gallon is a trivial effort. I am saying that it is a refinement, not a show stopper that MUST be repaired. The other concern I have, which probably IS trivial, is whether modifying the gas tank would violate any established safety and manufacturing or N.T.S.B. codes. You know, the little things written down that establish guidelines to prevent things from happening, like pressure vessels exploding, plumbing from flooding buildings, wiring from burning down homes or electrocuting people, that type of thing. Tank is smaller (14L vs 23L or about), however, there appears to be a dual piston caliper on the front with a bigger disk.
