The Kawasaki oil in`t API SJ, it doesn`t have the API donut. It DOES
meet and exceeds the requirements for API SJ,EXCEPT for some additive
differences they chose not to comply with, some of which is to retain the
SH zinc and phosphorus levels. Because of this, API will not allow the
compliance donut to be displayed.

Nope, it was a serious question. Believe it or not, I'm switching to back to
MC oil (I still refuse to do the synthetic thing) after my W650 shifting got
real sticky. So I picked up a couple of gallons of the Kawi oil and noticed
the forbidden "SJ" on the label. So I put it back and grabbed the Honda oil
instead. It's also a couple bucks cheaper to boot. Drained the Castrol GTX
oil out of the W, put in the Honda oil and it shifts smoother then ever.
