[dsn_klr650] kawasaki oil nklr

dealership the other day and noticed that Kawasaki rates their 4-Stroke motor oil as SJ now. The Honda oil is still rated only SH. Anyone know hat gives with the Kawi oil?> Speaking of oil, I was the Kawi/Honda/Suzuki/Aprilia/blah blah blah
I don`t trust you Gino, but you asked for it, so I`ll bite. The Kawasaki oil in`t API SJ, it doesn`t have the API donut. It DOES meet and exceeds the requirements for API SJ,EXCEPT for some additive differences they chose not to comply with, some of which is to retain the SH zinc and phosphorus levels. Because of this, API will not allow the compliance donut to be displayed. If you were fishing, you got me. Skip> > > Gino
