fuel tank mod workshop

Post by Bogdan Swider » Tue May 30, 2000 4:36 pm

ATTENTION, RALLY GOERS !! Good news. Skip Faulkner has agreed to hold a workshop in Moab. He will explain and supervise the installation of his genius fuel tank mod that accesses the useless 1/2 gal in the right side of the gas tank. Skip says this can be done in less than half an hour if memory serves me well. The costs are minimal. Since I'm kinda the liaison on this deal, he will send me the list of parts for those, like myself, that want to have them in advance and thus perform the mod on the spot under his watchful eye. Like the Professor's electrics demo, the time and place will be decided on and announced at the rally. I want that extra 1/2 gallon ! I was led to believe my klr had a 6 gallon tank ! Sooner kill a baby in its cradle, than nurture unfulfilled desire. William Blake Info and poetry humbly submitted by.........Bogdan

Hey Bogdan mark me down for this workshop please. I look forward to an extra ~25 miles per tank. CA Stu <-- as far as the environmental threads go, Tread Lightly.

Just dug up this small plaque (while looking for tie wraps), with words that made a big impression on me years ago racing mx, and now in everyday stuff. Many of you likely know it. Just felt compelled to share it. The credit belongs to those who are actually in the arena, who strive valiantly; who know the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, and spend themselves in a worthy cause; who at the best, know the triumph of high achievement; and who, at the worst, if they fail, fail while daring greatly, so that their place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who know neither victory nor defeat. - Theodore Roosevelt Tuff guy him.
