I'm just installed my first master link. The link came with a small amount of what appears to be safety wire. Can someone explain to me how it is to be used? Thanks, Kurt UMMMM.....I think that wire was to keep the rubber o-rings together with the link so they don't get lost. The thing to do is use your chain press to just press the side plate agianst the o-rings enough so you can get the safety clip snapped on. Remember that the open end of the retaining clip points away from the chain's direction of rotation. Jeff
