I will reveal a little more of my past. I worked in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area/Glamis for 3 1/2 years (lots more stories including; explosive devices, dead people, and nudity. No, not all on the same day.). The place in nucking futs! A few months before I bailed out of lovely El Centro(even more stories!), the Recreation Fee Demonstration Program began. This is the same program the Forest Circus Adventure Pass is governed by. People were upset at having to pay to play. I would tell people to join CORVA, Blue Ribbon, or San Diego Off-Road Coalition. You have to make your voice heard. You can't just sit back and bitch. Holiday weekends at the dunes topped 50,000(estimates were 70,000). That is one hell of a voice. -AC
