[dsn_klr650] king tires nklr

Post by billmonahan » Thu May 25, 2000 11:26 pm

I've seen them in one of the local cycle shops....they are way cheaper than the Chengs Shins, and look it....I think they are the cheapies that are sold by JC Whitney as well....personally, although I'll run Chengs, I wouldn't run the Kings.  You gotta draw the line somewhere.

They did look a little on the... ahem thrifty side. I'm personally sold on the Gripster for street/dirt use. I'm gonna mount up the Dunlop D606 and K139 (a.k.a the Fred special) this weekend. These tires have the stiffest sidewalls I have ever seen on a dual sport tire. Way stiffer than the MT21. Gino
