Survival Tip #2 If you're ever out in the woods and come across bear "sign", it will be easy to tell what kind (Black or Grizz)you're dealing with. Most bears eat pretty much the same things, but each type of bear has it's own specific "preferences", and some of this will remain in the scat. For instance, Black Bear scat will contain berries, roots, grass and perhaps squirrel fur. On the other hand, Grizzly scat will contain berries, roots, fleece, nylon, leather and will smell like pepper. Cheers, D. GBG eh14
