I'll be riding along at about 120km/h or so and the bike will lose power for just half a sec or so. It's almost like it can't get fuel for a sec. It doesn't stall or anything and if I give it more gas its fine for awhile. It starts and runs great otherwise only seems to do it after riding at a constant speed for awhile. Any Ideas,, Thanks, Gord 1984 KLR 600 1977 KZ 750 Twin 1979 Can Am 400 1986 Bronco II ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com Visit the KLR650 archives at http://www.listquest.com/lq/search.html?ln=klr650 Support Dual Sport News... dsneditor@... [dsn_klr650] klr 600 loses power on highway
Gordon, I've been amazed at how well even a 1 once shot of 100% isoplpol alcohol, soaks up water in 5+ gallons of fuel. I've had many troubles with intermittent fuel delivery with my watercraft, bit different operating environment, that went away forever with 1 once per tank full of 100% Iso. Look for fuel line driers that contain a decent amount of it. I don't know the fuel delivery on the KLR, still haven't bought one but you might try a new fuel filter? That's my take on it. Still could be something else, but it's a cheap thing to try. Anyone else? Glen Meyer, Post Falls, ID

Actually it's Arne's list. I'm only here to incite conflict and provide irreverant humor.
