speedo check and shift lever

Tim,
Yeah, nice rain. I rode to Tofino for the first time in the stuff on
Monday. More fun on the way back, after the roads dried a bit.
Anyway, I digress (sp?). My GPS shows that the KLR's speedo is about
10% optomistic, give or take a klick. 110 indicated is about 100.
This seems about normal for this bike, esp. those of us with metric
speedos. 4500RPM gets me 100km/h almost right on the button, for
what that's worth.
Interesting, my odo was within 0.2km of my GPS reading after 500 k's.
