Mike, Good luck. In this country we wink and let in some million? illegals a
year. Yet when someone tries to visit legally they get pissy. My cousin, a
prosperous lawyer from Poland also wasn't allowed to cross over from Canada.
What assholes ! Bogdan

jeez, just take a different road. there must be a zillion of them that don't
have border controls. when i was in switzerland last month, i headed over to
germany to buy beer (cheaper and better there), and noticed there was quite
a long line of cars at customs coming back. i went one town further
downriver, and their customs office was uninhabited, so no line.

Just what I was thinking. Skirting the law always adds to the excitement.
After all, some call it Adventure Touring.
Knot - who really is a big scaredy cat and would never cross the border
without all the paper work, but its fun to tell someone else to go for it.
ps: dab a bit of mud on the license plates and scoot on down to Moab

Mike, show up at the border with an inner tube and swin trunks. Maybe Clinton will make a political statement and you'll get to stay at the posh Inca with Bogdan.

Yus,
Knot didn't give you the full version of his marriage advice (that he gave
to Kurt), something I have saved in my KLR file:
>been married 17years - when it good - it very good, when it bad - it horrid!
>Make Mrs. happy and you be happy. Learn to say: 1. I sorry. 2. I very
>sorry. 3. Honey, I really very sorry. Number 4 (hardest of all) "Honey, I
>really very sorry, I was WRONG". Knot learn to go directly to step 4 and get
>quicker results. And advice to Mrs Kurt, "Never let the "little boy" inside
>your man die. The "little boy' is what brings true joy to life. If Kurt
>keep his motorbikes, he still "little boy" no matter what happen. May your
>married lives be blessed".
I couldn't agree more with him.
Ralph
Married 18 years this summer
