cooling fan embarrassment

I just have to thank everyone who replied about my cooling fan problems.
Also, thanks to the lister who advised me on the importance of wire gauge. I
had electronics when I was in High School over 20 years ago and thought I
was well versed in electronics, but I forgot much. I guess many listers
already know DON"T CONNECT THE FAN TO THE EUROPEAN RUNNING LIGHTS! Unless of
course you want to risk cookin your wires. And the final embarrassment; shop
mechanic said it was a blown fuse. Hey, life's an adventure and you can't
learn anything by not taking risks and thats half the fun. It was
definitely an educational experience. I think I'll play it safe for a little
while as the riding season is here and don't want to be without a bike on
the weekends. Thanks all!
