alternator/regulator upgrade info
I'm posting this information for those interested in upgrading
the electrical output on their KLRs. If I've overstepped the
"commercial" bounds of the list, Arne can slap my wrist at Moab.

from ELECTREXUSA:
For the KLR we supply our G45 stator unit. The output is about double
that of the stock unit. You can add about 150W of accessories to the
bike. The regulator/rectifier you should upgrade with our RR26 unit.
The RR26 works much more efficient than the original and controls the
output voltage better. It has better heatsinking capabilities
compared
to stock. All people we have sold the setup to have been very happy.
We haven't tried the setup on a KLX650 yet. I will need to get a bike
in to do some proper testing.
Pricing:
G45: US$184.00
RR26: US$112.00
We have the parts in stock and we ship UPS every day.
To order, or if you have any questions, contact us on 1-888-369-8359
or drop me a message.
Best regards!

Mark, I think you should use something like brake cleaner and not WD40.
