[dsn_klr650] scotchguard to be banned!

I heard this in the news too. It's related to environmental as well as medical findings about their "secret ingredient". Apparently they've found trace amounts of it in fish and water supplies, as well as in blood tested from the nation's blood banks. 3M chose to discontinue it because of this. The story I heard said that they were working on a replacement chemical, but in two years they haven't been successful. Like Kevin said, we should buy up what we can find. Marcus Young

Don't know if any of you heard this, but I heard on the radio the other night that Scotchguard water repellent is going to be banned soon. I guess the reason is that it gives off ozone depleting hydrocarbons or something or other. 3M is going to be discontinuing it worldwide, too, according to the news story I heard. All those with Aerostitiches better buy a good supply of it soon! Never thought Campdry worked as good as Scotchguard.
