Just finished swappin' my old stock springs for the Larry Roeseler's and replaced the front brake straw with a stainless steel line...I know a lost of listers have done this and posted about but until I did it I had no idea why everyone was was so giddy upon completion. Now I know. If you haven't done this, drop your keyboard, run to the store, get the parts, skip on home and DO IT! It's like having a real live brake to stop you.(and a front end to hold you up to boot)Of course it makes the rear brake feel like a pile of baby turds now. BTW I found my left fork almost completely devoid of any fork oil and I've only put about 1500 miles on the bike since the shop I bought it from "prepped" it for me. I wonder what exactly they did in the three days they needed to get the bike ready to ride. If it wasn't simple shtuff like checking fork oil I can be damn sure they ain't been checkin' them valves. I'm at the 3000 mile mark on the odometer so soon I'll be cracking my first engine open. Wish me luck. Can't wait to get the rear spring swapped either! Boy oh boy it is fun gettin' yer hands all greasy. dat brooklyn bum (who would kill for an imperfect garage...working on the sidewalk in NYC is friggin' annoying)
