I wear a Nolan N70. It can be used with or without a visor and faceshield in
any combination. At around $120, it's affordable. Bogdan

I chose the RF-800 because it was one of the only helmets on the market
that fit (sort of). I bought it from
www.motodepot.com but
www.helmetshop.com has a better price and they do not tack on a bulls__t
3% handling charge.

I have a Nolan N100 (so does my wife) and an Arai Dualsport. I've retired my
HJC. I love the flip face of the Nolan. It allows me not to destroy glasses
and is so convenient with talking with people, filling up for gas, sipping
some water, you name it. It is noiser than most helmets I've had with wind
noise and I wouldn't recommend riding with it without earplugs for any great
distance. Comfort is outstanding.

I agree with Kurt. I have an N100 also and must say it is an exceptional value. Very comfortable to boot. For off-road riding, I use an HCJ open face and goggles.

I wear a bieffe dual-sport. It fits nice can use shield or googles.
It's cheap but the shield can be cantanterous
Shoei RF-800 is nice helmet. I don't know about the crash protection
of the Nolan I'd be afaid of the laches giving out. Just a thought.

I bought a Shoei RFR because it is a good full face helmet and the only one
I could find that would fit over my head. I did find one snowmobile helmet
that would fit but didn't like the snowmobile logo on my road helmet. I
bought mine locally because they actually had one I could try on and the
price was as good as the catalogs.

Haven't given Nolan a chance yet, but have yet to hear anything bad about
them.
The Arai Quantum is working well for me on street/light trail stuff. Had to
find an XXL, but's the best fitting helm I've bought. Is light & has lots of
vents for keeping cool down here. The dark smoke shield works great in
glaring sun and's about half the cost of the mirror types offered for it.
With the Arai, you'll want to get some kind of open face helm w/goggles for
heavy dirt though.
Motorcycle Accessory Warehouse came in at about 100.00 cheaper than one of
the local dealers here, on the Quantum/f.
All best
