Yep, I noticed mine the other day also. I thought all those guys were smoking the pipe talking about a tweeting muffler. At idle it sounds fine but just a small turn of the throttle and tweety bird comes alive. It sounds ridiculous so I too would like to try the drilling technique before purchasing a new pipe. How far into the pipe do you drill? -----Original Message----- From: root [mailto:root]On Behalf Of Andre Roy Sent: Monday, May 15, 2000 9:47 PM To: DSN_klr650@egroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] tweeting muffler Hi, I was enjoying the good weather this weekent when I've hit the 12k km on my klr's odometer. What a surprise, a new sound start happening and seem to come from the engine. I've try to diagnose it but it seem to only happen when the engine is on load. I'm not a freak, but after reading all the messages in the klr mail group, I'm sure I cought the tweeting muffler syndrome. Is anyone please may take a picture of a well done " muffler drilling job " and post it on this group? 99 LRK ydnA laertnoM ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Was the salesman clueless?
