ignition coil and waterproofing?

James,
WD-40 is often used to "dry out" wet ignition systems.
Auto parts stores sell ignition water proofing sprays
to help prevent this problem. I have never used any
of these sprays, but if you have any 4wd off-road
friends, see if they have any suggestions. You could
make a rubber shroud for the ignition coil out of an
old inner tube that might help. Carefully inspect the
spark plug wire & cap for signs of cracks.
Don't overlook the ignition pickup coil & wires near
the front sprocket. In my younger days, I would
wheelie thru puddles or go slow thru deeper water
to help keep things dry.
