front sprocket question - asap as i need to ride to work tomorrow!!

I just bought a 14 tooth front sprocket for my KLR600. When going to install it I noticed that instead of having a clip and 2 bolts holding it on this new one (a Sprocket Specialists) has only a c-clip holding it on (no bolts and no bolt holes in the sprocket. Is this normal or did the dealer maybe give me the wrong one ???
