when I start to listen a strange noise. My id plate was rubbing against the rear tire. Of course it's probably my fault because I had install the plate by using the top hole. Right after that, at home, I checked the rear spring the bolt setting was at maximum and the dial setting was at number 2. Is it normal or am I carrying too big buddy? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Andre, I won't comment on the size of your buddy, or your english - it's worlds better than my french! (eh?) There have been many posts about how to re-locate you license plate so that it doesn't get munched by the rear tire. I took the qwik & easy route by removing the reflector just above the license plate and re-attached my plate to the license bracket using the bottom holes on my plate. Some listers have drilled holes in the rear fender & mounted their plates just below the tail lite. Some on the list have sung praises about replacing the stock rear shock spring with an after-market spring. Professor '95 KLR650 A9 Federal Way, Wa. [USA]
