I wonder if there's a big difference in the amount our klr's vibrate
or if some of us have more sensitivity to it. I've always considered my A9
smooth. It's never made my hands numb even on all day highway rides. Then
again I can't handle even one cup of coffee. Bogdan

I tigntened the engine mount bolts as part of my periodic
preventive maintenance routine & my A9 was smoother ... but
then again, i'm not that sensitive a guy ...

Elden told me that from his experience there is a vast disparity in the
amount of vibration in stock klrs. He commented on how smooth my 97 is
compared to his motor that he had Falicon balance. I don't know where the
variance is, Elden suspects sloppy manufacturing tolerances that stack up a
little here and a little there.

"The only problem is, I think
the carb was tuned with the cable frozen and the enricher slightly
engaged. Now that I have a working cable, the bike's not idling as
well. To keep it from stalling, I had to set up the idle a bit. I also
noticed some minor backfiring which seems to subside if I run with the
choke slightly on. The cable adjustement at the lever is almost all the
way out, so I have nowhere to go there.
Any suggestions?
