I've got a few ideas floating around. I have an '85 600. I don't know how similar they are to the 250, I've never seen a 250 up close. If the 250 is like the 600 in that the airbox intake is under the seat, then giving the air an easier path to under-the-seat would be a start.> Does anyone have plans on how to improve the stock air box on the KLR > (mines a 1988 250cc)?
Dream on. The greatest restriction may be in the head or in the cam timimg, it's hard to tell until you pull things right apart.> I think mine tends to suffocate at high revs and > air flow may be a contributing factor. Is there perhaps an after market > air box?
If you think the filter is holding you back, that is easily tested on a dyno. Mister_T> I could drill a few holes....but there is still the same area > of foam filter the air has to pass through. Ideally I would increase the > foam filter area.
