Got a pair of Pro Gel (Dennis Kirk) on mine right now. Slightly larger diameter than stock, good bit more comfortable, and looks to boot. The left side original grip was a ROYAL pain to remove. Took me half an hour to get it off, which included pulling, pushing, cutting and cursing. The glue they (K) used melted the grip to bond with it, so the grip could not be removed without destroying it. Bring a razor blade and some sandpaper. kevin, Wal-Mart sell grips for bicycles that will go over standard grips on your moto. They are nice, cheap, soft but don't last a long time (1/2 a year). George Escondido, CA

Did virtually the same thing with a surplus 5.56 ammo can ($7). Tough, waterproof, enough volume for tools plus. It also fits the image of my '00 G.I. Joe KLR. Clint
