Chris, the wisdom on the list is primarily related to the KLR650...it is a very different bike than the 250. We've had three or four listers with the 250...the most imfamous was our beloved Linda and her pet Klarabelle. You're going to have to think of yourself as a pioneer when it comes to moding your bike. My guess is that you'll find very little aftermarket support for it. If you are interested in learing and experimenting about aftermarket mods you would have an easier time with the DR350 series. I would suggest contacting Fred Hink at www.arrowheadmotorsports.com and asking him to take a few moments to do some research for you. Instead of Dynojet you might try Factory...Fred ordered a kit for my DR650 and told me that the people at Factory pretty much put together things off the shelf for bikes that aren't all that common. The two easiest changes to the CV carb that you can make are drilling out the plug that covers the pilot (sometimes air) jet screw and richening the mixture slightly and shimming your needle so that it sits higher relative to its standard position...this tends to give a more responsive mid-range.
