Okay, my seat from Bill Mayer just arrived in the mail a couple of days ago.
It looks great and feels very comfortable while I'm sitting on the bike in
my garage. I figured I better get my bike going and try it out on the road.
I'm not having much luck though. In the Fall, I thought I had done
everything I needed to do to store it. I changed the oil, added fuel
stabilizer, filled the tank, ran the bike, shut off the fuel, drained the
carb, put a drop of oil in the cylinder, removed the battery, cleaned
everything, ..... I thought she would start right up again for me in the
Spring. Not so. It seems like the engine is not getting any gas. I have
the gas line hooked up and the fuel petcock is set to on, I'm getting spark,
battery is charged, but no go. I have little mechanical ability and I'm
getting frustrated fast. Can anyone offer some advice?
Thanks,
Al

Sorry about the empty post. Here goes again.
I do not have much 2 wheel exp, but have done my own work on 4 wheels
for some time now.
1st thing I would do is pour a SMALL amout of fresh gas in the carb
and crank it. If you get fire, then you are correct. No gas getting
to the carb.
WARNING: Do NOT look into the carb or "hover" over it when doing
this as one backfire can burn you severely. Also keep the rest of
the gas away (fumes ARE flammable).
If BANG then check the fuel line. could be clogged with settling
contaminants while sitting so long. If the line flows (not just
through the petcock) then not a prob. If so, clean it out and I would
install an in-line filter. Also could be a problem with the carb
(jets plugged??) I don't touch carbs though...(sort of a black box
enigma conundrum object to me)
Anyway, if no BANG, I would check the plug again and maybe replace it
just for fun. check the plug wire also for any problems.
Probably not much help, or incorrect advice, but that would be
ABSOLUTELY in line with the rest of my day too!!!

OH WAIT!!! Might be bad gas (even though you did use a stabilizer)
Might want to drain the tank completely and refill with fresh fuel.
Deep Breath and count to 10.
Just a few worthless thoughts.
Good Luck.

Gino, you seen this? Maybe you can register yours in Iran and get a premium
if anything happens to her in Moab. ;^/
TEHRAN (Reuters) - The Iranian government is to extend insurance cover to
camels in the southwest province of Khuzestan under an innovative plan
reported Wednesday.
The daily Iran News said the valuable beasts of burden would be insured
against earthquakes, thunder, snake bites, floods and collisions with cars
or other vehicles.
Insurance premiums will be split between the camels' owners and the
government, with greater premiums and payouts for mature animals. The daily
said Khuzestan is home to about 7,000 camels.
