Two years ago I took a trip to Berlin from here (some listers may remember me asking whether it was a good idea) and one thing I noticed when splitting lanes (filtering) that the cars on the continent tend to give way, in fact. Especially in heavy traffic. They just move aside to let you through. Heck, even the coppers on bikes go between cars. Happens on the motorways here in the UK too. Sometimes. I remember once in Germany there was a massive jam on the autobahn. There were a group of Germans on Beemers filtering through. I followed them for a while until I got bored and crossed over to the other in-between lane and bombed away. Of course, after the jam they just blew me away... still, they couldn't go through traffic for toffee. Yus A1

I know it is legal in most states, but acceptance by the cagers is a different story.  Split lanes here in New Mexico and you will most likely be shot or run over by a big pickup truck ;-) Hey.....I've noticed that, while riding in other states.  I live in CA and split lanes all the time, for ETA reasons as well as I am convinced that it's safer   What the F*%k's up with these assh*les in other states who get bent out of shape over it?  Like it's going to affect them one way or the other?  Or, are they just so childish they can't stand someone getting ahead of them, whether or not it affects their time of arrival?   I think they're really f*%ked up and the SUCK big time.  Maybe they'll hit a big bump, choke on their beer, and they'll get their pecker caught in the zipper, they were just wacking it anyhow!

There was nothing like eating the tubes of death at Candlestick Park, with the game into extra innings, cold winds whipping through the tunnels, fog rolling into the stadium and you're wearing a down jacket, still freezing you butt off during a nightime game in mid July.

Well, now, Dr Pokluda, I am rather ashamed of it, but what I really enjoy is telling those dumb city cops, who look shocked when the guy they thought was some kind of young hooligan, pulls off his helmet and (what! , a Normal Upstanding Middle Aged Citizen) tells them it's legal in California, and if they'd make it quick, I've got a meeting at the office in a couple of minutes.  Haven't had a write-up in years, since 91, and have been pulled over about 8 times since them.  However, when it's the CHP that pulls you over, and not the rinky dink City Cops, it's best to utilize real ass-kissing and general respect, including the promise that you'll go 5 mph under the limit the rest of the day.  Works for me!     Also, every single one of them always says at the end..."I ride a motor too, you know".... Yeah...Sure!  Go eat another dognut, sucka!    Now you're talkin.  That new ball park sounds like fun to go to.....Pac Bell Park.  Hell with Candlestick. Been going to it since game one.  My dad had an office on Market in the 60's, it was a normal businessman's thing to go to the park with a couple of buddies back then.       Tell us how you really feel ;-)  P.S.  Someone was talking about Brauts at a ball park.  There was nothing like eating the tubes of death at Candlestick Park, with the game into extra innings, cold winds whipping through the tunnels, fog rolling into the stadium and you're wearing a down jacket, still freezing you butt off during a nightime game in mid July

Gino, Have you seen one of these NM drivers awake? Still haven't found many with their eyes open. I think its the sun, and everyone is squinting. Talking about skinned innards. My dad used to take me to Fenway when I was a kid. I was prolly 8 yrs old and was heavily into trading ball cards. Fred Lynn was my idol as I played outfield in Little League. Anyway, were at a game and I predicted that Freddy would be knocked out with one of his Monster Slams, Dad insisted that it wouldn't happen. Poor Dad inhaled a dog when it happened. Choked and hacked on that thing for at least 10 minutes. Ride home was pretty silent. Laughed about it years later. Dad managed to get an autographed ball from Freddy that same season for me. Oh Well back to my other childhood. LaterZ Dash

190mm is what you want Ken. That equates to the Service Manual recommended 420ml. Also run atmosperic pressure. Cheers, Arne DSN_ klr650 Listmeister Eh 13 www.mac-d.com MAC-D Homepage http://members.dencity.com/candidcamera My Motorcycle Rides Page
