[dsn_klr650] leaky waterpump - help
Hi John,
I looked at mine last night and couldn't find the hole you were referring
to. Not the drain plug right?
Larry says that your mechanical seal is bad. Makes perfect sense. There
is a hole on automobile H2O pumps but I haven't seen it on the KLR.
Closer inspection may prove otherwise. Sorry I couldn't be of more
assistance.
Assuming there is a hole, it is to keep pressure from building up on your
oil seal so that you don't get coolant in your crankcase.
