Hey BD,
Have you read the book "How to win friends and influence people"? Maybe you
should.

so I suspect not.. I will be trailering my BMW R1150GS there to do some
riding. Any information would be appreciated.

So, where exactly is this thread headed and what exactly is your
definition of "real dual sporting"? If it means "I will be
trailering my BMW R1150GS there to do some riding", then the answer
is "no".

It seems I have hit a sensitive cord with this group.
Yes, I do "real dual sport" riding, but time limits me on riding to Utah as I live in Texas. I can assure you, My 1150GS will go anywhere a KLR would dare and even then some. No offense to the KLR, but the BMW is simply put together better and can handle more punishment. I'll be glad to lead a few rides and demonstrate. If I remember correctly, I don't remember a Kawasaki crossing the finish line in the PD this year. Of course BMW swept 1,2,3.
No one answered my original question, when and where is the rally, who do I contact?
One last point. I understand from the archives and my friend that Arrowhead Motorsports seems to have the corner of the market on selling products on this list. Is this not against standard list protocol? Isn't this SPAM? I know it would never fly on BMW lists.
If you can't run with the Big Dawg, you best stay on the porch.

The reason Fred sells so many products on this list is because of his
service. There are very few places you can go to get the type of customer
service he gives.
BTW you are not on the BMW List!!

Welcome BD!
Fred at Arrowhead has been dispensing technical help, friendship,
humor along with animal husbandry since this list was first formed.
He also hosts the get-together in Moab, UT. Here's the URL;
www.geocities.com/~klrdsn/page54.html
It would be more meaningful for me if the PD race ran stock bikes.
You may be in for a big disappointment if you think that 650 you
have on order will be anything near what was run at Dakar.
The riding skills of this KLR group runs the gamut. A few of them
are excellent riders. If you can give them a run for their money on
an 1150, my hat will be off to you, Sir!
There will be some other beemers at the rally. They may not possess
your flair for words or exude your warm charm. That will just
make it easier for us to recognize you. I'd offer to buy you a beer,
but I'm afraid that I won't find a glass big enough to fit you.

Maybe they will have a virtual reality dual sport ride for you, since you
will never be able to keep up with the real dual sporters.

Fred, I re-read BD's post and wondered if it was a prank or not. "Trailering
his BMW 1100 GS" I know Gino is supposed to be off list but this has his
fingerprints on it. Also we haven't heard from Fireball Stuart lately. He's
also capable of this kind of sick humor. Bogdan
