I was going to give you a nom de list of ButtDart, but Bob (if that is your real name) will have to do. >>I have Renthal Deserts, really happy with them. I filled them with urethane
window sealant, and the difference in feel is very noticeable. Less vibration, feel more solid. Makes the bike feel heavier and more luxuuuurious. They also seem to be straighter that stock, and they may be a tad wider. >>As far as Dual Sporting the KLR 650, I have ridden with some very
accomplished riders on the list, and I realise I have a ways to go before I can join their ranks,

Hi Stu, How many tubes did your handlebars take? I am gonna do that same thing. I don't want the weight of the lead shot. I am doing this on my stock handlebars though. I thought about getting new Deserts... do I need a new top clamp or adapter, or do they bolt right up? Fred... you got theses? I just might have to pick them up myself, sometime in June... Aw come on honey it'll only be a couple of days... Oh and welcome Bob, Good to have somebody else here with a good sense of humor. You're darn lucky I finished my wheaties BEFORE sending milk through my nose... That woulda hurt and I would have held you responsible. ;) LaterZ Dash

Having had a taste of the great riding out at Ballanger Canyon on the all too short afternoon I spent at the Cal Posse Roundup, I am returning there tomorrow. Riding with two friends with real off-road bikes, a DR 350 and a XR400. Neither are street legal and both riders are accomplished dirt riders. Should be an interesting day, I haven't fallen down on the KLR for two weeks now so am probably over due. We should get out there about 10:00 am if anyone wants to join us. Kurt Grife Avila Beach, Ca
