Having no manual on me, what I've just done, is to get on the bike, and a friend helped me adjust the chain, with 1 inch slack... seemed alright on a test ride, no noise, no dragging, this equated to about 4 inches of slack with me off the bike, and the bike on the side stand. I'm 170 lbs and getting heavier... JC ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

Amazing! Simply Amazing that one person can be so removed from reality and still type! What is truly sad and discouraging is the duplicity of the "gentleman's" writings. "I don't mean to be insulting, but your mother is a whore" and similar things. It is also shamefule that I will not be able to be @ Moab this year and meet this interesting person. (my truck is broken down and I don't own a motorcycle trailer...hehe). NOW FOR SOMETHING REAL I have had no responses about automatic chain tensioners. Anyone had any experience with them? Used to use one on my 3-wheeler. would this have any merit on the 2 wheel world? Not adjust chain so often? Allow a little more slack when fat boys like me hit a good bump and bottom out (no pun intended)? Also: I think this character might be Raamses doing a psychological experiment for his new position in the Ivory Tower. Responses welcome on the tensioner. BD can choke on his own exhaust.
