help-barkbusters

Hi all,
Just got a set of barkbusters, attampted to install
them today. Gave up to come check the archives. They
do not seem to fit very well on the bike, a lot of
vice bending will be needed me thinks. Can anyone
offer any tips on installing barkbusters?
