klr:cam chain tensioner question

Can anyone tell me where the cam chain tensioner is? I am preparing to remove some shims for replacement, so I need to remove the cap, washer, and spring from the tensioner. I didn't have to do this for the valve check. I just want to make sure I'm removing the correct thing. So it's on the left side of the bike, correct? Is it a bolt closer to the back of the head (with a little black hose looking thing attached), or is it a hex head bolt towards the front, bottom side? Thanks, Raamses
