Now you're just plain being mean... not all New Mexicans are bad drivers. Just the ones over the age of 60, the ones younger than 25, the third time offending DWI drivers, the ones who can't see and the many that just don't take driving seriously. So yes, that leaves me and a handful of others that are actually excellent drivers. Besides the population per mile of road is very small here so you have lots of options. Just stay away from Santa Fe and Albuquerque, lots of bad drivers there. The jack rabbits at high speeds aren't that big a deal, unless you are on a bike. But my big bike fear in New Mexico is the deer and elk grazing the blacktop. The antelope are fun to hunt and Coyotes are great target practice not really fun hunting though. You have Oryx there so that puts you very close to White Sands, I have hunted Oryx and Big Billies out at/near Stallion Gate. If you find the really big one with only one horn... leave him alone, I'll be back for him this year. You gotta go ride Cloud Croft, it is so beautiful there, watch the East Side though, the cattle like to graze the blacktop there at night. So where are you working Chris? We (NM KLR's) should get together and ride some weekend, there's a bunch of us and a I meet more all the time.
