I just got the new GiVi 2000 catalog and they have a new number for the side
bag mounts. I will contact GiVi when I get a chance to see if they are
available or not.

Yes you do need to throw them away...
And I know of an empty dumpster (don't ask how I know) that is about 100
miles north of you in the beautiful Jemez mountains. It is in Los Alamos,
just behind Ed's Market, great ride up here... just let me know when you
deposit them.
Sorry Alex, while racks are a specialty of mine, I don't know anything
about them on a KLR, Ask Adam Stahnke he seems to know a lot about mounting
a very nice rack on a KLR. OK seriously.... You did ask a serious question
after all.... I would suggest Arne's or Tim's racks but again I'm just
going on what I have gathered in the short time I've been harassing the
list.

Had a 42, 41 setup put on a bro's KLR. I thought they were Le Creme!
Perhaps it was because they were matched. Then again, perhaps it was
because they were spun balanced. Then again, it could be that the rear
tires
outer dia. was equal to stock....
Speaking of outer diameter....if anything, I would stick with
tires on back that go no larger that stock, and with front tires that
are at least the same or larger(A too large front is not manufactured).
